Editions and Price

Marvel's Wolverine costs $69.99 for the Standard Edition and $79.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition, which adds five suits, five claws and three Technique Points. As of Nov 8, 2026 the Deluxe Edition is on sale for $59.99 in the US PlayStation Store until Nov 21, cheaper than the Standard.

Marvel's Wolverine is sold in two editions: the Standard Edition at $69.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition at $79.99, and Standard owners can buy the Deluxe extras as a $10 upgrade. The Deluxe trailer shows what the extra $10 buys, one suit at a time: the New Leather, Age of Apocalypse, Savage, Night Hunt and Incredible suits, each with its own claws. Everything in it is cosmetic apart from three Technique Points. As of Nov 8, 2026 the US PlayStation Store has the Digital Deluxe Edition at $59.99, 25% off until Nov 21, 2026, which makes it $10 cheaper than the Standard Edition at full price. There is no Collector's Edition. The Battle Yellow PS5 bundle and the two limited controllers are covered below; how each suit is unlocked is on Suits and Claws.

How much does Marvel's Wolverine cost?

$69.99 in the US for the Standard Edition, the standard price for Sony's own PS5 games, on disc or digital. The prices Sony announced on Jun 2, 2026 in four currencies:

Edition US UK Europe Japan
Standard $69.99 £69.99 €79.99 ¥8,980
Digital Deluxe $79.99 £79.99 €89.99 ¥9,980
Deluxe premium +$10 +£10 +€10 +¥1,000

The Deluxe premium is the same ten units everywhere except Japan, where it is ¥1,000. Europe pays the most in plain numbers: €79.99 is the dearest Standard price of the four, €10 above the dollar price.

The price sat badly with some critics at launch. On IGN's Beyond podcast the week of the review, the hosts said "things have gotten more expensive" and that they had expected the game to be better, mentioning Simon Cardy's 6 out of 10 for IGN. We think the price argument is a fair one for a linear game of about 12 to 15 hours with no multiplayer, and that most players who are not in a hurry should wait for a sale like the current one; the length is on How Long to Beat.

What is in the Digital Deluxe Edition?

The game plus three kinds of extras, per the PlayStation Blog:

  • Five suits: Incredible, Savage, Age of Apocalypse, Night Hunt and New Leather.
  • Five claws: Smooth-Edged, Hollow Blade, Thick, Serrated Spine and Tapered.
  • Three Technique Points, to buy skills early.

In the official Game Features trailer, McIntyre puts it in one line: the Digital Deluxe Edition "adds five exclusive suits and claws". Sony describes the suits and claws as "purely cosmetic". The PlayStation Store's own edition text says "Four Technique Points"; its FAQ explains that as three from Deluxe and one from the pre-order bonus, which is the reading the blog supports. The Deluxe Edition is digital only, and Standard owners can add its extras with the $10 Deluxe Upgrade.

What was the pre-order bonus?

Every edition ordered before launch came with the "Early Access Suit" Classic Brown, the "Early Access Claws" Reflective Claws, one Technique Point and four PlayStation avatars (Mystique, Logan, Jean and Sabretooth). "Early access" here means early access to the suit: GamingBolt's suit guide lists Classic Brown as craftable for everyone later, from the mission "Way Down Low". Nobody lost the suit by missing the pre-order; they only got it later in the story. A separate Disney+ Perks offer also gave the Yellow Variant suit, according to the same guide.

Is the Digital Deluxe Edition worth it?

For most players, no; for fans who want the looks, yes, especially now. Our reasoning, from the numbers on this viki:

  • Suits already come free. The base game has 27 suits of its own, and GamingBolt's review explains that you unlock them through the story, by crafting with materials and through Nightmare Door challenges, with each crafted suit "gradually" adding to Logan's health. The five Deluxe suits are extra looks on top of 27, not a health shortcut.
  • Three Technique Points matter for an hour. They let you buy a skill or two before your first levels arrive. By the end of the story every player has far more points than that; see Skills: Techniques and Adaptations.
  • The price flipped. At $59.99 until Nov 21, 2026, the Deluxe Edition costs less than the Standard Edition's $69.99 list price. While that lasts, we think there is no reason to buy the digital Standard Edition in the US store.

We think the Deluxe suits are worth more to people who know the comics: Age of Apocalypse and Savage are deep cuts that the base game's 27 suits do not repeat. Every suit's comic origin is on Suits and Claws.

The Battle Yellow PS5 bundle and controllers

Sony revealed limited-edition hardware on Aug 11, 2026, with pre-orders from Aug 19 (7:00am PT on direct.playstation.com) and availability from launch day. The lineup is in Wolverine's two colors: the yellow of his costume and the steel of his claws.

Item US UK Europe Japan
PS5 Digital Edition, Battle Yellow bundle $649.99 £569.99 €649.99 ¥96,980
DualSense, Battle Yellow $84.99 £74.99 €84.99 ¥12,480
PS5 console covers, Battle Yellow $74.99
PS5 Pro console covers, Battle Yellow $74.99
PS5 Pro console covers, Adamantium $74.99 Not sold
DualSense, Adamantium $84.99 Not sold

The bundle is a Digital Edition, so it has no disc drive and comes with the game as a download. The Adamantium items are sold only through direct.playstation.com and select retailers.

Coverage of Circana's September 2026 report said the Battle Yellow DualSense was the month's best-selling accessory in the US; we have not seen that line in Circana's own post, so treat it as reported. On IGN's Beyond podcast just before launch, the hosts doubted the game was "quite the scale of game" Sony needed to sell hardware; Circana's numbers later showed PS5 dollar sales up 43% year on year in September 2026 (Sales), though no source credits that to Wolverine alone.

We think the Adamantium DualSense is the one to buy if you want one at all: it matches the PS5 Pro, the console the game looks best on (Platforms, PC Port and Performance), while the Battle Yellow covers are for a display shelf more than a living room.

Will there be more suits or DLC to buy?

None announced as of Nov 8, 2026: no paid DLC, no season pass, no extra suit packs, despite the "in-game purchases" line on the rating. On IGN's Beyond, the hosts predicted Insomniac would add suits after launch, as it has for Spider-Man 2, while doubting a new suit gives much reason to replay a linear mission. Our own guesses about DLC and a sequel are on Predictions.
