Walkthrough and Mission List
Marvel's Wolverine has 30 story missions in five chapters (Telambang 1 to 3, Canada 4 to 8, Madripoor 9 to 12, Japan 13 to 21 and the return to Madripoor 22 to 30), with five boss fights and 102 collectibles spread across 20 of them. Every mission can be replayed from the Nightmare Cabin after the story, so nothing is missable.
Marvel's Wolverine has 30 story missions in five chapters: three in Telambang, five in Canada, four in Madripoor, nine in Japan and nine more back in Madripoor, ending with the final boss in Mission 29 and an epilogue in Mission 30. Its 102 collectibles (68 Material Crates, 20 Whisky Bottles and 14 Nightmare Doors) sit in 20 of the 30 missions, none of them missable, and five bosses stand at Missions 3, 11, 20, 25 and 29. The game is linear: missions follow each other, most start with a briefing at a base like the one in this clip from IGN Guides' Canada run, and after the story every one of them can be replayed. This page is the list; each chapter's page walks through its missions one by one.

Names, order and counts are PowerPyx's; areas and bosses are KeenGamer's, and the two guides agree on all 30 names and their order. Where the two place a mission differently, the chapter pages say so: KeenGamer puts Mission 29 in Shinjuku while PowerPyx keeps it in Madripoor, and in AFGuidesHD's recording the final fight follows a Sentinel launched toward Tokyo (details). GamingBolt's suit guide spells Mission 13 "Jet Lagged"; the mission list in both walkthroughs above has "Jetlag". The exact place of every crate, bottle and door is on Material Crate Locations, Whisky Bottle Locations and Nightmare Doors and Trials.
The five chapters
| Chapter | Missions | Doors / Crates / Bottles | Boss | IGN Guides' run with every collectible |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Telambang | 1 to 3 | 0 / 0 / 0 | Omega Red | 59 min 42 s |
| Canada | 4 to 8 | 4 / 15 / 5 | None | 2 h 31 min |
| Madripoor | 9 to 12 | 2 / 9 / 3 | Sentinel Prototype | 1 h 53 min |
| Japan | 13 to 21 | 4 / 29 / 7 | Lady Deathstrike | 3 h 26 min |
| Return to Madripoor | 22 to 30 | 4 / 15 / 5 | Sabretooth, Essex | 4 h 25 min |
We assembled this table from PowerPyx's counts and the lengths of IGN Guides' five videos, which play the whole game with every collectible. Added up, those five runs come to about 13 hours 16 minutes, the last 26 minutes of it the post-story trial. That is longer than the two recorded story-only runs (11 hours 23 minutes by Shirrako and 11 hours 52 minutes by MKIceAndFire) and short of the 15 to 20 hours PowerPyx gives for the platinum; How Long to Beat has the rest. Japan alone holds 29 of the 68 crates, and Mission 16, In the Shadows, has 9 collectibles, the most of any mission.
Where the collectibles start. Telambang has none: the first Whisky Bottle and the first Nightmare Door come in Mission 4, Homecoming, where Essex first shows Logan the Nightmare Cabin, the "place of comfort" in his mind that the game uses as its hub for trials and mission replay. From there, every region except the boss missions carries something.
Why the doors are worth it. Whisky Bottles and Nightmare Doors raise Logan's Adaptation Level, and every Nightmare Trial ends in one of his lost memories, told in his own voice. In IGN Guides' Madripoor run, the door in Mission 10 gives the story of the spring of 1879, when hunters in the Rockies started hunting him. We think the memories are reason enough not to skip the doors, even on a story-only run.
The five boss fights
There are only five bosses, and IGN's reviewer called them "surprisingly few". PowerPyx lists Missions 11 and 20 as boss fights and nothing else; Essex comes at the end of a longer mission:
| Mission | Boss | Trophy | Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3, Last Meal | Omega Red | Omega Dead | Omega Red Boss Fight |
| 11, For Our Future | Sentinel Prototype | Kicked the Bucket | Sentinel Prototype Boss Fight |
| 20, Death's Match | Lady Deathstrike | Struck Dead | Lady Deathstrike Boss Fight |
| 25, Red Right Hand | Sabretooth | Had To Put Him Down | Sabretooth Boss Fight |
| 29, No Coming Back | Essex | A Sinister End | Mister Sinister Boss Fight |
The clip is Dan Allen Gaming's Sep 14, 2026 recording of the first, where Omega Red explains his name to Logan before the fight's last stretch: "the last thing my victims ever see".
AFGuidesHD's all-bosses video, uploaded Sep 14, 2026, plays the five back to back in 1 hour 11 minutes with their cutscenes; the clip is the start of the second, where Trask meets Logan in Hightown before the Sentinel Prototype rises. Bosses ranks them and says what each asks of you.
Mission select, replay and what you can miss
PowerPyx is plain about it: nothing in Marvel's Wolverine is missable. After the story, every mission can be replayed from the bed in the Nightmare Cabin, and collectibles you already found stay found, so a missed crate or a trophy like Saturn Slam or Harmer's Market is a replay away. None of the trophies depend on difficulty, and you do not need New Game Plus for any of them. How replay and New Game Plus work, and what carries over, is on New Game Plus and Mission Replay.
Two options make a cleanup pass shorter. The Senses settings added in update 1.001.006 turn the Whisky Bottle scent trails, crate audio cues and Nightmare Door roots on or off, and the Whisky Finder and Crate Finder Adaptations mark collectibles from a distance (Skills: Techniques and Adaptations).
How to use these pages
Each chapter page gives every mission its own section: what happens, what to do, the trophies on the way, the collectible counts, and a recorded moment from an established creator's run at that mission. Story spoilers are kept short and flagged where the late game starts; the ending lives on Ending Explained, and the plot in order on Story.
We think the right way to play is the mission list in order, picking up collectibles as you go only in the long tracking missions (5, 6, 16, 22 and 27), where a replay is slowest, and leaving the rest for a cleanup run with the Finder Adaptations. The game's own structure supports it: by the last chapter, as in this clip from IGN Guides' run where Logan and Jean set out for Essex, the story stops leaving room to look around.
